dmaguiness
I create CDs only occasionally, so I was wondering if it is possible to not have Easy CD Creator 4 automatically load at startup, and just start Easy CD Creator 4 from the Start Menu. I checked the Users Manual and I don't believe this is mentioned. My computer uses Win98SE. Thank you for any information. Dave

Dave There are other ways to get there, but - Start > Programs > Accessories > System tools > System Tools; Click on Tools > System Configuration Utility (under Dr Watson); Click on the Startup tab; Uncheck anything you don't want at startup. (This is the route to get there that I was taken via, by a friend on the phone.) I have Roxio, Adaptec, RealTray, Shockwave, and a few others unchecked. One would be the ECDC tray item that watches for blank CDs to be inserted. Right-click on it and choose the option to disable it. That's the easiest way to get rid of that. The other thing would be the Direct CD icon, if you loaded Direct CD. To keep that from starting, uninstall Direct CD. Disabling it via MSConfig is somewhat dangerous because the UDF file system is still installed, but now there's no controlling application for it. Hope that helps!
