Video Capture With 8mm Not Bright

JuicePod

Question

Hello,

I have a Sharp 8MM Camcorder which tapes in Mono Audio. I just bought a A/V Cable $35 (Yellow, White, Red) From Radio Shack because the cable that came with the camcorder only has Yellow and White connector. Im capturing the video to my computer using Roxio Creator 2009 and the audio is still coming out my left speaker. Do I need to buy a Audio splitter or Does Roxio software fix this problem to make Mono sound come out of both right and left speakers??

Please someone help me.

Thanks

Juice

Hi, <_<

I just Captured my first Transfer from my 8MM Sharp Camcorder to my PC. I notice that the colors aren't as bright as if I was watching it through the Camcorders LCD or on TV.

I tried to turn the brightness and contrast up when I edited it in Roxio 2009 but it still does not look as good. Is this the best Roxio 2009 can do or am I missing a setting?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Juice

It won't look the same on your computer screen. How did you capture the video?

There are many differences in how LCD monitors work and TVs. I always test a DVD by burning to DVD RW and playing it back on a DVD player connected to a TV. I even use DataColor's Spyder 2 to calibrate my monitor every month or so, but there can still be difference in brightness/contrast and color. It's not the software, but how the video card and monitor display the images.

You will need a 'Y' splitter for the output of the camcorder. This will take the mono out into the left and right IN.

Thanks GGrussell,

Is there a way Roxio or Movie Maker can copy and paste the audio to both sides?

Thanks
