I have the same problem. When I start the capture program inside Roxio or stand along, I get the same message, ie, Capture program has stopped working and is shutting down. Then Windows does not supply any reason for the error. I am using Windows Vista home premium on an HP dv7 laptop. I have a 1394 firewire card installed. The cable and card are connected properly because the windows media captures without error. I might add that I have an AMD 64bit processor on the Laptop and that my 32 bit Windows Vista Home Premium desktop with a core dual Intel processor works without error. Is this a program glitch inside Roxio or a problem working with 64 bit processors, or a problem working with AMD processors? In any case, it seems to be a program problem with Roxio.
