Mpeg-2 Codec

I've finally installed creator 2009 after several attempts. However while everything appears to run OK a box keeps popping up when I use a new module. The box says -The following codec(s) must be activated MPEG-2. when I click OK it comes back with "No permission-bad installation". I am loath to uninstall the entire suite again as it took so long to get a working install, are there any ways to fix this.

This problem appears to prevent the Cineplayer from running my movies no matter what format they are.

You are posting symptoms of the Easy Media Creator 9 software. Do you have Creator 2009, or do you have Easy Media Creator 9?

I have Creator 2009 Ultimate and the computer is an HP not Dell

The error you're getting then indicates you have or had another version on your pc based on the EMCv9 app. You'll need to do a clean install to clear out all the old junk.

The install is from the backup CD since the download manager keeps telling me I already have all the files even after the total uninstall.

I've never had any other EMC version.

Do you think it could be a problem with the backup CD roxio sent?
