Creator 2009 Ultimate Downloaded & Windows Xp Sp3

Kristoffer

Question

hi,

has anyone of you experienced the following ( and found a solution )

Downloaded Creator 2009 Ultimate ( FN56I010R14_Creator2009Ultimate_11.0.exe )

Have applied Clean Install ( several times ).

Instal is OK ( at least it does not complain ).

After install and reboot:

* CinePlayer is working

* BackOnTrack is working

- Creator itself ( roxiocentralfx.exe ), - startup ends with error:

EventType : clr20r3

P9 : system.dllnotfoundexception

( .NET Runtime 2.0 Error )

reinstal of .NET Runtime 2.0 SP2 does not help.

Creator 2009 SP4 reports: 'Software Not Found'.

( Maybe this version of Roxio Core dose not need SP ? )

Module Name: Roxio Core

Version: 1.3.1

Build: 131B10A, R04

Copyright: Sonic Solutions 2007

Roxio Support comes with another Clean Install, that is not helping ...

Any sugestions ?

Greetings Kristoffer

Jim,

You were absolutely right,

the fix i did was just a quick and dirty, desperate move.

I got problems as soon as I begun using Creator.

* * *

There was no other way out, than to install windows once more, and install Creator.

Install SP4.

Now can I enjoy your product.

There is a glitch in installation (FN56I010R14_Creator2009Ultimate_11.0.exe).

Install of .NET asks to terminate Creator setup, to be abble to continue.

I have choosen to terminate Creator setup, finalize the .NET install.

Than I started Creator setup once more.

I am not sure what the reason was i had problems to begin with, but the

Clean Install as Support defined it is not enough on some PCs.

Greetings Kristoffer

It works in 99.9999% of the cases!

The other 0.0001% of us get pretty good at Format and Welcome to Windows :angry2:

I had one PC with Vista that I had to do that with – actually twice!

Then the HD failed a week later and I got to do it again when its’ replacement arrived :(

I was starting to lose the will to live by then :huh:

OK,

after some Googling and serching in this forum as well,- I have got it to work

The issue is .NET 3.5 SP1 appears to delete milcore.dll from \windows\system32\

After placing the file in this directory Creator 2009 works.

For some reason Creator SP4 does not recognises the downloaded FN56I010R14_Creator2009Ultimate_11.0.exe

as something that needs fixing.

Search for updates from Creator itself returns no updates available.

Hope my post will help ..
