Any Possible Way To Rotate A Video?

Geesh... it would normally be laughable, but someone captured a piece of a music performance I did, and it would be very usable for a promo if she didn't hold the camera sideways. Does VideoWave have any utility to salvage this? I realize the quality will drop even if it's do-able, but it would be better than nothing.

Use the Videowave program.

 

In Storyline view, insert a colored panel with duration slightly longer than duration of your video clip. Switch to Timeline and insert the video clip as an overlay to that colored panel. With the overlay selected, click the "More Settings" icon on top of the Preview screen. Choose the middle tab . There is a slider for Rotation

Well thanks... that worked pretty well! I could even zoom to fill the screen and such. The one drawback here, unless I've missed some more controls, is that this video clip is also pretty dark, and I was hoping to be able to make use of some of VideoWave's very handy RGB, brightness, and contrast controls. I guess the best bet is to export, and re-import, or is there a secret way to use those tools / settings on an overlay?

Bring in the video clip to the main track of Videowave and work on any editing you want (including brightness, contrast, etc). Then output it as an mpg. You then use the resulting mpg as the overlay that you want to rotate.

You can add a Black and White Effect, return its saturation and then adjust for brightness. You can apply it on the Internal Track of the clip and then it will become part of that clip so it will move around with it as you edit.

Depending on the color of the color panel underneath it (above it on the Timeline) also use the transparency setting for the clip to help in making it brighter or darker (or add color), as the color shows through as you add transparency.
