Installation Problem

Saint25

Question

Hi All

When installing creater 2009 it gets to near the end, installing smart sound and then it rolls back. I've tried the clean install and I cant find the dsetup.dll file as someone suggeted could be the problem.

When copying the disk on to the hard drive to try installing from there, I got an error message saying some of the files are corrupt and it cant complete the task.

This happens on a new dell XPS 430 pc running vista 64bit and ive tried it on a sony xp laptop and the same thing happens.

Has anyone else had this problem if so is the problem simply the disk is corrupt and a replacement one will sort the problem. Im mindful alot of people seem to have a problem installing this software

Cheers

Richard

Yes but don't get the message that the disc is corrupt. Where did you get it? If from a local store, make a copy of the message and take it back to the store for an exchange. It does happen sometimes. If directly from Roxio, contact them and perhaps they will send you c new disc AND allow you to download from the on-line store.

As for if a new disc will solve all you other problems , who knows until you try.
