I have just recently loaded Roxio 2009. I often use Roxio PhotoSuite to edit my photos and have used a past version on my old computer that I was really happy with. Now I find that when I load a new photo and the click the Saturation or Exposure option, the image goes soft on the canvas. This is before I have had it do anything. Even when I pick cancel, the image stays soft. I have tested saving the image and then opening the image, the true image has not gone soft. It seems that when the gui comes up, it is having an impact on the display. I am not sure how to correct this problem and with this problem, cannot effectively use this program to edit my photos.
This is on a brand new Dell Inspiron 518 with Core 2 Quad Q9550, 4 GB RAM, AMD Radeon HD3450 256MB PCI-Express x16 RV620, that is running Vista 32.
Also, I have found when using Tint that changing the Tint Color manually slider adjustment does not get reflect in the Tint Balance slider.
Update:
I have been running several test. I found that when you are full screen or zoomed out more, picking Saturation or Exposure will cause the image to go soft. When you are zoomed in, you get the exact opposite. The image will actually become sharper and have more contrast just by opening Saturation or Exposure. This is just by clicking under Fix Your Photos the Saturation or Exposure option and before clicking to have it do anything. Even if you cancel, it will not go back. The other interesting thing is that if you zoom back out to full screen or more, the image will flip to being softer than it really is. So it appears that just opening these options and depending on your zoom, will change the picture on the canvas from what it really is.
