Creator 2009 Install From Installation Dvd

ron sutfin

Question

In order to intall Creator 2009 I was prompted to update windows setup which I did. I'm using XP home. I went through the intallation wizard with the creator 2009 intallation DVD and clicked finish. It seemed to put it on the C drive. I re-booted but could not find the program on my computer anywhere. It not on my desktop, programs, or anywhere. I even checked in add/remove programs.

Thanks for the tip. I tried the SP4 link you gave me and when I tried to run it it can't find Creator '09. I followed the clean install instructions and nowhere on my computer did I find anything "Roxio" related to clean out or uninstall. For some reason it just stalls after I click finish when installing from the DVD installation disc. I wonder if it has anthing to do with the fact that I have 2 hard drives in my computer and one of them, the"C" drive is partitioned to make a "E" drive. XP lives on the C. Thanks for trying to help, Ron Sutfin

Were you logged on as an administrator and did you install Creator 2009 for all users? Do you see your E drive after you boot up?

I have multiple hard drives and multiple partitions.

Go into User Accounts in the Control Panel and be sure that Account Control is turned off during the install. Also, turn off your antivirus during the install.

I checked and I am the only user and have admin authority. It seems to choke during the install on Microsoft.net v3.5 whatever that is. why would it tell me installation complete and then ask me to click finish if it was not ready?? Thanks, Ron
