Avchd Archive Dvd To Windows User

DOOD

Question

Hi, total Toast 10 newb here. Just made an AVCHD archive DVD to free up space on my card and gave it to my sis in-law. Thing is, she has a Windows XP machine. Will she be able to read the disc? And if anyone knows of any good free software that she can use to read/edit/& or play the DVD?

Thanks in advance.

More information please, what did you put on the disc and why AVCHD archive?

From Kb article:

"Issue

When backing up a AVCHD video and disc spanning is initiated, only your movie is included. However, items such as custom menus and other aspects of your production are missing.

Resolution

To back up your AVCDHD project, you will need to backup it up as a Data project. This will include all the video and the customized files such as menus. However, the AVCHD Data backup will not yield a playable AVCHD disc and is for archive purposes only. If you wish to burn the project from the Data backup, you will need to transfer it back to your hard drive.
