Totally Floundering

Sue Harris

Question

I got this MyDVD software with my Canon DC50. I want to download my mini disc to computer and then do some simple editing.

I can't see if this software even does this job. It looks to me as if it converts video tapes to dvd and that is all. Can someone give me a starting point please?

That would be a OEM version made for the Cannon camera not a full retail version most use here.

Surely the manual has some help files in it for software that come with the camera?

thanks very much for your reply.

Oh, you have no idea - even the camera manual is a real nightmare! I have now managed to download the contents of my disc into MyDVD by a process of deduction. There is no help, the tutorials are pitiful. The help button is useless. I have rarely seen such trashy software which seems a shame as the camera is actually really good - once you figure out the incomprehensible manual! (Which I have only partly done..)

Now I want to see my raw material full screen - simply can't find any way of doing it....

I am thinking that I need to buy some good software, but at the moment, MyDVD would not even be in the list...

Unfortunately I live in Belize, Central America, so free support lines don't help.
