Unable To Run Update From Help Menu

UMTurtle

Question

I use Roxio to copy cassettes to CDs. Everything worked fine in Easy Creator 10. With Creator 2009 the following happens:

1. I can't get the title/song information up update in Lable Creator.

2. When I burn a disk, it is a smeared gray.

3. When I try to run update from the help menu, it says I have no internet connection (though I do).

I assume I can't get title/song updates from gracenotes because it thinks I don't have an internet connection. I have manually downloaded update 4 and installed it but still have problems 1 and 2.

I'm running Norton 360 3.0 and have allowed Roxio in the firewall setting. I have also disabled the firewall to try to get it to work. Still, I can't get Roxio to recognize my internet connection. I have registered Roxio. Any suggestions?

Thanks for your time and help.

1. Yah – that’s a pain! I use the Home app, Rip, to get them to my HD intact.

2. Not a clue what you mean

3. It is your settings that are blocking it. I turn it off – Home app – Tools – Options – Check for updates~~~ If all is working, don’t need an update, if it isn’t I know where to go to look. ;)
