Easy V2d Overflows/overscans Screen

sacurby

Question

I am a new user, and need a bit of help with a start up problem - the first (overview?) page of V2D more than occupies the whole screen of my 15" laptop, overlapping all 4 sides (believe this is called overscan). I have tried every differrent monitor resolution setting available with no improvement ... Here's the specs of my system:

Compaq Presario F572US Laptop

Vista Home Premium (32 bit), SP1

1GB AMD Athlon, 64X2 Dual Core, 1.7 GHz

Video card: NVIDIA GeForce Go 6100, set at 1280x800

Thanks for any advice you may have ... :)

Overscan has nothing to do with what you are seeing. Overscan has to do with your TV set and the part of a video that you do not see on your TV.

What are you DPI settings for your screen display? They should be set to 96dpi

Thanks a lot - downsetting the DPI did the trick ... Now I can start converting all the old VHS tapes!! :D

As far as I'm concerned, we can close this issue/thread, but am not sure how to do it.
