After Clean Install, Creator 2009 Locks Up At Internet Connection

What can I do. Clean install, is direct X9 causing a problem? After three installs and uninstalls, 45 min each, when I load grafic content from the internet seems to lock up at the end of loading, right where the internet content shows up in in panels around Creater 2009 panel. All I have is the spinning wheel where internet content should be. Help

I haven't heard of that happening before. It looks as if the system is waiting for something to arrive, and it never does arrive.

I don't know what does that, but it may be connected with Internet access.

 

Try starting Creator 2009 with your network cable disconnected. When I did that it waited for some extra seconds with just the red Roxio bar showing, then loaded Creator 2009 without spinning those wheels and displayed a different welcome screen, but it did complete the initialization without freezing.

 

Once you get there, go to Tools > Options > Home and disable [uncheck] the first four options boxes which deal with Internet Access. Hopefully this will let you use the program while someone works out what was holding it up.

I still need help, Crator 2009 locks as in your first screen dump save. Your sugestion is appreciated, however, it did not work in my case. I hope someone else has had this problem and knows a cure.

When I click to start the program it seems to load properly cycling thru the various screens. When it gets to the final screen that has an internet advertising link at the bottom and an internet advertising link to the right, the program locks up.

or does it lock after that Internet content has downloaded completely?

It locks as in the first screen, while waiting for the advertising screens to download, with the small spinning wheel, the program locks.
