No Burning At All

Lycan

Question

Hi

I am doing a major project in English, this project requires me to burn music to a CD/DVD and since Roxio Easy Media Creator came with my laptop i decided to just use it for the project.

Anyway i am trying to burn the music for this project and when i do get Roxio started up and press the Audio CD option, it tells me to insert a Disc into the drive, i put a DVD+R into the Drive and the message disappears, to only then reappear several second later and pop out my DVD.

i have tried the same process with a DVD+RW and CD+R

what am i doing wrong, or is there just something wrong with Roxio?

this is a very important project esp. since the school year is ending in 1 1/2 weeks.

All the help i can get is definitely appreciated.

Thanks.

A Audio CD project requires a CD-R / RW to burn it to a disc....

Are you trying to make a video project with audio? I don't guess very good, why not explain to us in detail what your trying to do?

Im sorry i must be completely inept

the project includes just making a basic disc with 10 songs on it that needs to be able to played on a cd player, a computer, etc.

sadly i do not have access to a CD+R CD-R, etc. but if thats what i need thanks for letting me know, ill go pick up some CDs instead

If you look closely when you buy CD's one will say data and one will say music. They are the same the music just costs more, use a CD-R not a CD-R / RW.. The - + means something for DVD's not for CD's...
