Microsoft Cc++ Runtime Error!

KevyMT

Question

I just tried to install Easy VHS to DVD on my Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit system, 4 GB RAM, 500+ GB HDD, CD/DVD RW drive, Intel Core 2 Duo Quad processor @ 2.4 GHz and a Radeon 2400 PRO video card, following the directions carefully, I insert the CD and immeadiately get an error message "000D", so I have been unable to even try the Easy VHS to DVD program. I've completely cleaned my HDD with Disk Cleanup, manually cleaned my History (both Internet Browser as well as Computer History [recent documents, etc.]), done a Disk Defragment, rebooted my computer and everything else.

Does anyone know exactly what Error 000D means? Can anyone help me with this problem? Thanks!

Got Easy V2D installed, ran the Capture Video, selected the USB 2861 Device to import from, and got the error message:

(X)Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Fil...

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

Please contact the application's support team for more information.

This puzzles me because this is a new program put out by Roxio/Sonic Solutions, my system is new (Windows Vista Home Premium, 4 Gigs RAM, 500 GB HDD and an ATI Radeon 2400 PRO Video card.) I finally got the program installed with much grief from Customer Support and my Serial Number/CD Key, and now this? Has anyone else experienced this problem with Roxio Easy VHS to DVD Capture Video? If so, do you know how to fix the problem? Should I speak to Roxio Customer Support on this and risk the fate that I might get into another issue with them?

HELP!!! :unsure:

Help is a 2 way street.

You never came back after your first post but I will assume you got it installed, somehow.

What ‘Grief’? it might point to the continuing problems you are having.

I apologize for not replying to my first message, so I am replying now. As for the Grief... if you really want to know about what I went through with Customer Support on Easy VHS to DVD... it appeared that I never got a CD Key/Serial Number for the software... after a week of messages back and forth between CS and myself, they finally said "we do not have a serial number for your product. Please contact Technical Support." Which I did, and finally got what I wanted. And no, the CD Key/Serial Number was not on the CD/DVD sleeve when I opened the box.

As for the grief I had with CS, I highly doubt that this issue is related to the problems I had with CS earlier. So your reply is honestly, not helpful at all.

You asked, you got. Now, can anyone else help me out with this issue?
