Capture Video with a Notebook PC

I have a Compaq Presario V2670US notebook and a Dazzle DVC 90. I installed the Dazzle DVC 90 on my notebook and when I go to VideoWave to try and capture video, it does not let me. When I go to CAPTURE and I hook up the Dazzle 90 via USB, the preview screen is blank (black) and there is no audio. I was just wondering if any of you have captured video with your notebook. I know that I have installed the Dazzle 90 correctly and everything because I am able to capture video with the same device on my desktop, but I want to capture video with my notebook because it has DL capabilities.

You should always plug the DVC90 in before trying to capture. The Dazzle also has compatibility issues especially with VIA USB chipsets. The Dazzle is manufactured by Pinnacle Systems. It doesn't work at all on either of my machines.
