Music Library At 256k/bits

Recommended Posts

I've been using easy cd & dvd for years but problems started so deinstalled it and then re installed it ( the reinstall wiped part of my root directory). On the basis that my copy of easy cd ver 6 did not match with something in XP I purchased Roxio creator 2009 ultimate edition. It reads cd's at 256k/bits sounds fantastic but will not act as a library. ie I can't select a cd and play the whole thing only 1 track at a time.

Any ideas for the equivelent of easy cd & dvd ver6 that records at 256k/bits.

Easy CD & DVD 6 was the only version that had the library function you liked so much. I never installed version 6, so never played with it. As far as I know, Creator 2009 and the version since 6, have had no player/library like that. (It has Media Manager, but I usually turn that off, and I don't know if it acts as a player.)

I might suggest you look at something like the free WinAmp player.

Peter: I skipped v6, and am still at EMCv7; have never seen Cr2009. So this might not apply for you. You did not specify the kind of files you are interested in (mp3, .cda, etc.).

In v7's Creator Classic, I can select a source (a folder on HD, or tracks on a CD, etc.), then cursor-select some or all "titles". Then a right-click in the "Track Title" area results in a context menu with a "Play" option. Choosing that option causes the selected track(s) to be played -- and shown in the left side's Task/Preview pane, with info for the currently-playing track, and controls for prev/next, etc. (From an audio CD, the track's title will be either "Track01.cda" or taken from CD-Text. )

(Can't figure out how to include a screenprint.)

The selected track(s) will play once; then you can again right-click+Play.

Winamp does provide a "repeat" option; Media Player Classic and VLC Media Player do not repeat. None of these three players will read CD-Text.
