I have been ripping DVDs I own to my hard drive so I can view them on my xbox360 using Windows Media Center. Media Import has done the best job that I can find of removing all the titles, keeping the video in superb condition, and maintaining DTS or 5.1 sound.
However, on a few DVDs, such as Step Brothers, Bankok Dangerous, and Hancock, the audio will slowly begin to unsync itself. By the end of the movie, it's usually about 5 secs behind. I've tried both .MPEG and .WMV formats (not .AVI since the 360 wont read it) and searched the web for another ripper but everything I have found has only allowed 2 channel stereo audio at best. I'm starting to lose hope. Has anyone else had this problem?
Also, on Apocalypto, it will run for 1 sec and then just end. Even tho it takes the full time to rip the movie like it was actually doing something.
I am running Vista Premium with 8gigs of ram, a terabyte of hard drive space, a quad core processor, etc so I'm not thinking it has to do with PC performance.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance...
Oh, and I spent days googling and searching thru forums and everything else before starting this thread, hoping not to get flamed...
