Usb 2861

After putting in the 2861 device in the USB port, I get a "unable to install, could not find driver software"

Tried twice....still no install.

Any advice?

Sure. Provide some details.

 

The message you noted sounds like you are trying to let Windows install the drivers. That is not what the instructions for installing the drivers for the device state.

 

Did you get the deice all by itself or as part of a purchase of the Creator 2009 or Easy VHS to DVD software?

Bought the VHS to DVD package...Windows "could not find driver" is the message I get

 

 

I bought the VHS to DVD package. I put in the video capture into the usb port and followed the on screen instructions, thats what the book said to do

So you bought the Easy VHS to DVD software product that includes the USB device, correct.

 

The instructions should have told you to plug the device into a USB 2 port and cancel the Windows attempt to install the hardware drivers. Then install the Easy VHS to DVD software, which would install the drivers for the device.

 

Did you install the software first, or have you already installed the software? If so, then see this KB article regarding installing the drivers.
