2dozen
Is it a compressed jpg image or a jpg2000? It is not supported. For some reason, the program doesn't like them. How are you navigating to that image? Could you have moved or deleted it? If you are using Media Manager, then doing either will give you that symbol. You would have to look for the image using folders view or update the Media Manager database. it's just a plain ld .jpg file. i used the "add photo" on the task pane. i checked the file folder where i saved it and it's no different from th e other .jpgs. funny, but when i open the file and re-save it it shows up, while the "not here" symbol remains on the original file?? What do you mean "update the Media manager base" ? Also, I wondered if you can insert clip art onto a slide..thanks it's just a plain ld .jpg file. i used the "add photo" on the task pane. i checked the file folder where i saved it and it's no different from th e other .jpgs. funny, but when i open the file and re-save it it shows up, while the "not here" symbol remains on the original file?? Where did it come from? Not all files with the jpg extension are the same. That fact that the re-saved file shows up means that there are differences in the two jpegs. 2dozen
This (link) should help. wow...that was great. thank you. i had managed to fool around and find most of it. can you stretch the text without changing the font size? and.... do you have other "tutorials" as the ones that come with the program go by too fast or assume some knowledge on the subjest. i don't mind doing the work, but i miss the forest for the trees every once in a while.... eg, how do they do that panoramic sweep in the tutorial video? again thank you, nancy

sknis
can you "size" a photo on a slide and can you place more than one photo on a slide? Yes, by using an overlay. Put a color panel on the main track, click on it and select it and then select internal track. Chose to add a picture. It will ask so just select internal track. When it adds, you can grab a corner and adjust it to size, Ad as many images as you want on the tracks. I think up to 5 image tracks total. Use the Hide/Show tracks to select more than just one or two image tracks. - I think one of karri's videos show it. Here are two user made sources of demo videos. karri's Mine.. (Also has some of Rachel's custom overlays). Also Roxio's (Watch guided tour). Users manuals. The sweep is done using a different program altogether - Camtasia Studio. It is built in. As you probably can tell it is a screen capture program that gives you a video.

Use that and then add the mpg2 files as overlays. This is the first time you mentioned animated gifs. I believe that they were not supported at least twice in this thread. Is that TechSmith's Camtasia Studio application? Look for it in programs; not in My Documents. You may be able to access the slide shows via Creator 2009 depending on what format you encoded them to using Camtasia. What you can depends on what Version you have. You'll have to go to Camtasia Studio to find out more about that.
