Problem With Subtitles, Menus And Multiple Movies

anic297

Question

Hello!

I have a complex problem involving several things. I have made 2 custom movies in QuickTime format, and would like to burn them on DVD with subtitles and a menu. I have started by burning a DVD with my 2 movies and the menu. I have also created my subtitles and I have converted them in srt and subp files. Now, here's my problem: how can I add these subtitles to the DVD I have just burnt?

It seems it's not possible to add subtitles in Toast, so I have to first burn a DVD without them, and then add subtitles, is that correct?

Thanks in advance

No idea why you would post this in the Venue and QFlix section, which has nothing to do with Toast or MAC's.

So it has been moved into the Toast 10 area [for now] for you, so maybe someone will actually see it who can answers your questions.

Oops, I'm really sorry. In fact, when I looked at the sections in the list, I saw "General" and didn't see the "Venue and Qflix" caption. And, before clicking "General", I saw "Toast 10" (and every version) and thought "My question is related to any version of Toast" and clicked "General". Sorry again, and thank you for having moved my post.

I suggest getting the donation-ware application MyDVDEdit to see if it can be used to edit the .ifo and add the subtitles. To access what you burned you need to copy the VIDEO_TS folder back to the hard drive and then change the permissions for that folder's contents to Read & Write. I have no experience adding subtitles so I can't help you but there are guides at the MyDVDEdit site. Alternatively you may need to use a different application than Toast to author your VIDEO_TS.

Thanks. I'll give MyDVDEdit a try.

I followed the guides for authoring and adding subtitles, but I lost the menu (I haven't yet figured out how to have both subtitles and the menu, this is the core of the problem).
