You have not supplied much information. What is Step 2? Are you capturing, editing, burning?

What are your system specs, especially video card?

Sorry for the long delay in my reply I had to find out how to determine my video car identification. It is a basic intel intergrated graphic card. and the step two which freezes is the beginning of the recording of the VHS tape just prior to burning.

Thanks

Your answer is not much help.

What are your computer specs?

To find out what video card: right click on My Computer, then click Properties, Hardware, Device Manager, then click the + beside Display Adapter. Now post what the string says.

Thanks for the help. The string is: Intel ® G33/G31 Express Chip set Family. Sorry for the previous info but it came from Dell which was not to helpful. If you need: My Computer is a Dell 530 running Windows XP home addition.

It will not work on that PC with XP.

Oddly it does work if you had Vista on it! Mine is dual boot and the XP side will not run any of the video software but the Vista side (DirectX 10) run great!

You should be able to put in a cheap video card ($30) and disable you’re your onboard chip. Don’t try too much card as the 530 has a tiny power supply (250 Watts or so) and some of the big cards will suck the life out of it.

Just make sure the video card fully supports DirectX 9.
