Fabio_starless
Hi, there... I've purchased and installed Creator2009 right yesterday, and encountered the same problems as above. My OS is WinXPpro; I've already installed SP4; there's no such a file as "dsetup.dll" in my C:\WINDOWS\System32 folder, neither is it anywhere else. ; "CinePlayer" is the only app which, after a registration request, seems to be working. All others are seemingly inactive. The Roxio little red splash screen appears for a few seconds, then nothing. I also tried re-installing, but after that nothing has changed. Like Fabio, I purchased Creator 2009 yesterday and the installation failed. It got near the end while installing the Sound Editor and never finished, just stalled. I had to use Control-Alt-Delete to get out of the installation. I tried again...same result. MY OS is Vista Home Premium SP1. I looked for file dsetup.dll in my C:Windows/System 32 folder but it was not there. Would appreciate some help from Roxio. It appears that others are having this same issue. Was the product sufficiently tested prior to release? I had no problem in the past with Easy Media Creator on my old Windows XP PC and did not expect this with $100 software. Big_Dave
Try booting up in "safe mode" and do a clean install. Then apply sp4.

Did you try opening the applications from the Windows Start menu? That will tell you if the issue is with the Home screen or if the inividual applications did not install. Did you do a clean install or just a Windows type remove/install? Did you do the first install to a clean and defragged hard drive with your anti-virus and all malware OFF? Did you get any error messages? Do you run an agressive registry cleaner? It is important to reply to all the questions (5) so we both understand where the problem is exactly.
