Installed Software But Won't Pass The Splash Screen

I installed the software according to the directions but when I click the shortcut the Roxio splash screen appears for about 5 sec then closes. Nothing else happens, no other screen appears, just seems to shut down.

 

Any thoughts? PS: I tried the driver update and service pack2 but no change.

Thanks Jim. Followed the instructions for a clean install with the same results. Splash screen only the program ends.

 

Any other advise? Is there any compatability issues with other cd burning software? or movie maker items or Camtasia studio?

 

Never used a Roxio product before.

I will do that today. One update if your interested. I can launch the import program using MediaCapture11.exe in the MediaCapture11 sub folder and the MYDVD program from its folder. Very strange indeed..

 

I will post the result from tech support.
