Copy & Convert Dvd Video

Jesse Bolt

Question

New guy here.

Tried reading the manual. Maybe that is what got me to this point...

I have edited a DVD video from my television. It was 1 hour long. The section I wanted is 2 minutes. I used Copy & Convert DVD Video to trim it to 2 minutes. I saved it to a file on my hard drive; several times. Each time I selected a different output format - wmv, mpeg, wmv 9, DVD, custom dvd. Every one of these is saved in a .vcpf file. Only Roxio will play it. I cannot share it and/or move it to another site. Even tried to burn it on a blank DVD. Something goes on the blank DVD, but my computer cannot recognize it. I guess it's because it is a .vcpf file.

Any advice on what I need to do will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

JB

All you are saving is the project file which is the instructions on what to do with your source files. No video file is created at all.

You do not use the "save" option to create the video, you have to select "burn" and select to "burn" to a file.

Personally, I would use Videowave to edit my videos, it has many more features
