capturing video from avchd dvd

I'm using creator 2009. Is it possible to capture parts of a dvd that I created and burned to avchd format without capturing the whole thing and dropping it onto the timeline and cutting out everything else? Also is this possible with a dvd that I created and burned in standard dvd format?

You should be able to capture individual chapters of a regular DVD. If there are no chapters, I would think you would have transfer the entire file.

 

As for AVCHD discs, good question! Don't know if we can capture those or not. However, you should be able to copy the video file from the disc to the hard drive.
