Sorry I did not get back sooner, but I have had "one of those weekends".

 

Anyway, I feel like such a dolt. I reinserted disk 2 and when it gave the errormessage again, I opened it with windows explorer. The autorun file is supposed to run setup.exe. I double clicked on that program and it took off and it appears to have installed what was on that disk. (SoundSoap SE and SONICFIRE PRO).

 

All seems well, I have burned a data and a music cd. A quick trip to the LightScribe website to download the latest software and drivers and I was able to burn a LightScribe labeled disk.

Well i have the same problem and actually mine wont install atol ...not even from the set up in the cd...any ideas how to solve this??

Im soooo furstrated, i have purchased roxio ultimate 2009 and now have upgraded my pc...so tried to reinstall it but it seems that my pc is happy with only the dvd1 ...when i try to install dvd2 it comes up with the following error <please go to the control panel to install and configure system components>...i tried to intall the programms within the cd using the setup. exe but still no luck...can anyone suggest any solution to this?

 

Probably by now, you installed the first DVD which is the program and all the contents. I assume you also turned off the computer and rebooted before you installed the second DVD (CD). That second is the add-ons and have little to do with the actual program.

 

Is Creator 2009 running correctly? Did you copy that second CD to your computer and try again?

 

With the new computer, do you have XP, Vista 32 bit or Vista 64 bit. Have you checked all your audio settings in Vista? I assume that the new computer exceeds the minimum requirements but have you checked setting like screen display, DirectX (10 for Vista), drivers for the new computer's video card? Please post your computer specs in your signature so they will always available.

Copy the contents, of the CD, to your hard drive, and try to install from there. If that doesn't work, you need to go through the "clean install".
