Cornelis
Finally I could install the software after a clean installation as suggested to do. Great. But now I am facing uncontrolled reboots of my PC whatever I do with the application. It happens anytime after about 20 seconds. Other unexpected phenomenas are sudden popups telling my Windows is configuring the EVtD software. Sometimes it happens if I press Windows-E for file exploring. I am working with Vista Home Edition on a Dell XPS-430.
Jim_Hardin
I would do this – the Clean Install as detailed to the point where all is removed. Then reboot and run the PC for a day or 2 to make sure it is stable and doesn’t require a Format. Only then would I install V2D again. I did note that there were several search hits claiming the 430 Media Center is unstable. Was yours OEM with Vista?
