You get 1 hour of video, at high quality, on a standard 4.7GB DVD. You should be able to get your 96 minutes, on a DVD, at a lesser quality, but I don't think you can do it via plug and burn.

Thanks I will go get a dvd with more 4.7gb or maybe some 240 min or 480 min will also try to see if can lower the quality on this one it not a one i look at a lot but would like to keep it in dvd

There is no such thing as a 120 or 240 or 480 min DVD. All DVDs are either 4.7GB or 8.5GB (DL DVDs).A standard 4.7 GB will hold 60 minutes of video at best quality. The 120 or higher min come into play when you reduce the quality of the video. For example, you can get 120 min of video on the 4.7GB DVD if you "cut" the quality of the video in half.

With a DL DVD you can get slightly less then 120 min on the DVD at est quality but you of course need a DL burner.

You can’t get what doesn’t exist… DVD’s come in 2 sizes, 4.7 or 8.5 DL. But if your burner can’t do DL it will try and destroy the disc… Even so, Plug and Burn will only do 1 ½ hours.

Best to forget Plug & Burn and use Capture.

Then use VideoWave for editing or MyDVD for burning. MyDVD will allow up to 2 hours on a DVD.

But you should listen to experience – more than 1 hour on a 4.7 Gb DVD will look horrible! You can use VW to split your project and burn it to 2 DVD’s

If you get a disc or 2 of DVD RW you can use that while you learn since it can be erased and reused.

Edit: Walter types faster than I do
