dkd
I have a tape player hooked up to the video capture USB that came with Roxio. I finally got the computer to recognize it. Now when I record (or think I'm recording) I don't hear the music or see the display moving? I then try to play what it shows as recorded and don't get anything? I've tried various tape players and all the same? I thought this was going to be easier than it is> Help?

Some audio chips will not play the music as it is being recorded but you should see the display moving. Is the volume turned on and up? If you don't have Creator 2009, please let us know. Somewhere, it should display what device it is using to record from. Make sure you have the USB device (sorry, I don't recall the ID string off the top of my head) selected, and not your PCs sound card/chip. Then, depending on the software you're using to record with, you may or may not hear what's playing. With a USB device, you are depending on the software to route the sound coming in through the USB device back out through your sound card to your speakers. The software that came with the USB device should do that. Other software may not know you're expecting that to happen. Hope that helps!
