Question

I'm using the EZ vhs to dvd to record some of my LP's but the sound of the final recording is very very low even with the volume levels turned all the way up. How do I make the recording louder? The turntable is a Technics System SL-Q200 I'm sorry I didn't see this is for mac I run vista...oh well maybe someone has some info I can use

Thank you both... I haven't seen a stereo receiver with a phono input in years, but maybe I'm looking at the wrong ones. I tried to hook it up like you said (using tape input & out input) but got nothing. Also the last thing I want to do is spend more $$$$$$. But again thanx for your help.

Radio Shack has one for $20 also. See if any friend/relative has a older stereo receiver you got borrow.

I moved this to the Windows-version forum.

You cannot connect the Technics turntable directly to the unit. The turntable must first be connected to a stereo receiver that has a phono input just like you used to do when you had it connected to your home stereo system. The receiver then increases the equalization and levels to the normal line-out levels that work with the Easy VHS to DVD.

As an alternate, you can get a pre-amp for about $20 that will boot the signal. Sony has a LP deck with a built in amp for around $100.
