Brendon, Yes I do see PX Help 20 after downloading that.. Ive re installed Roxio a couple of times already with the same results but i can try again :-D

---I did notice that durring install each time I got a pop up that said something like this~~>> Not supported on the current operateing system : Roxio Creator BDAV Plugin... would that have anything to do with this?

I think that's only referring to the BDAV plugin, so it shouldn't have anything to do with this problem.

That's an interesting popup you got though. Which Operating System are you doing this in?

Yes, I see your difficulty. :)

I'm really puzzled by this. You say Windows is seeing the drive, and so must Creator, else when you try to run it you'd be getting one of these warnings, and you're not are you!

You seem to have the PxHelp20 filter in place, and so I can't work out why you're getting "No Drive Detected".

The only other thing I can suggest is to 'stand off at a distance and nuke it from orbit'. You say you've reinstalled a couple of times, but if that was just an uninstall/reinstall there are a heap of files and settings which can be left untouched. Get a copy of the clean install procedure for Creator 9 and 10 in XP from HERE, print it out, and follow it religiously.

If this is done properly - nothing missed, nothing added - it should clean your registry and system out thoroughly so that all-new files and settings are installed and the software when installed is in factory order again. Since you have an OEM version of Creator 9 you might find that not everything mentioned in the procedure is actually there, but follow the procedure as closely as you can.

Go well, and I'll be waiting with 'bated breath to see how you get on.

I'm guessing that Windows can see your drive?

If Windows can but Creator 2009 doesn't, here's a good way to see if you have the proper filter in your registry for Creator to see your drive.

-download and install the free program ImgBurn from www.imgburn.com

-In ImgBurn go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order

-Can you see PxHelp20 shown there as a Lower Class Filter ??

-you can now uninstall ImgBurn if you want, but it's a very handy program for burning disc images.

Lack of the PxHelp20 filter prevents the Roxio burner programs from seeing the optical drives. If it's not there you may need to reinstall your Creator 2009 again to get it in there. :(

Even if the filter is there, if Creator 2009 won't recognize your drive(s) when Windows does, it might still take another 'clean install' to get the program right.
