Merman
Why does Creator 2009 see source vob files as 4:3 when they were recorded in 16:9? Is this a software bug, and if so, will it be corrected by Roxio?
ggrussell
Why does Creator 2009 see source vob files as 4:3 when they were recorded in 16:9? Is this a software bug, and if so, will it be corrected by Roxio?Usually it is a hardware 'bug' because the camcorder manufacturer didn't properly set the 16:9 flag in the recorded VOB file. They do this to get around paying licensing fees, etc. There is nothing in Creator 2009 that will 'force' 16:9 to correct the problem. Depending on which brand you have, there are ways to correct it using shareware apps.

How are you capturing (connection or copying from a camcorder hard disk) and are you selecting 16:9 projects in Video Wave and MyDVD.?
