psychotoe
I was just wondering if any one here uses EMC8 professionally. What is the difference between this software and other software like let’s say iMovie & iDVD? Why do you prefer EMC to other software.

I think they are - if you are working with a Mac; you might want to ask the same question in the "Toast and Jam" board. If you are looking for a professional product, you might also look at those on the "Sonic Solutions" Site
Guest ivanatrox
iMovie and iDVD are like MyDVD 8 in EMC 8. However, iMovie and iDVD only work on Mac and EMC 8 works on Windows platform. Ivan
ggrussell
I was just wondering if any one here uses EMC8 professionally. And WHY would anyone use a 'consumer' level product for 'professional' use? Surely a 'pro' could afford something on the 'professional' level like from Avid or Adobe. Of course, I suppose it all depends on your definition of professional. Just a guess that in this case, "professional" might mean, "commercial", to make money with. In which case, it would be fair to say that EMC 8 would be a fair choice to get into the trade. Once you've established a base, you may need and be able to afford to upgrade to "higher power" software and the commensurate hardware it requires. Just my 2 cents.
