Please help with MyDVD question

curlypie

Question

I created a video production with MyDVD and with a background song. There are scenes where the original audio of the clip sounds through over the song. I am completely clueless as to how to get rid of that background audio. I've spent so much time on the production. I don't want to have to start over.

Any tips would be appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi there,

First thing - don't create a video production with MyDVD. It severely limits what you can do with your video/audio. Create your production in videowave, then import it to MyDVD to create menus, burn, etc.

Anyway, try this before recreating the whole thing. I don't know what version you are using, (always mention that when asking for help), but I will assume it will be 8, 10 , or 2009, all of which I have worked with.

In MyDvd, choose the movie you are working on, and click on edit movie. In the production editor at the bottom, it should come up as storyline. Click the timeline tab to bring up timeline. You can use the magnifying glass to stretch out your video clips to better see them if you need to.

Now click on the Show Hide Tracks tab. Where it says Show Audio Tracks, click on native. This will bring up a bar that shows the background audio. Right click on the blue bar of the Native Sound and select mute. Do this for each video clip in your movie. No more background audio, just the music you want to hear.

Hope that works for you.
