Audio Levels Vary in MYDVD Project

overthetop

Question

Hi Guys! I just completed a slideshow project using MYDVD. The show is great. The audio is horrible. One song is too low, the other too loud. I used "normalize," but to no avail. Am I missing a step? Is it neccessary to edit (set levels) my MP3 files using Sound Editor first, and then add songs to my show (these are MP3's)? If so, is there a general setting you would recommned? Thanks for any advice.

The best advice I can give is to do your slide shows in Video Wave. If necessary, you can adjust the audio for each piece of music. You can preview it better there also.

Normalize is usually to set the music to a certain percentage of the loudest music. If you have one very loud piece and the rest are soft, you may get that behavor. What you really want is to maximize. You can do that in sound editor but them perhaps all music will be too loud.
