Failure to capture video

Idoc198

Question

I just installed the VHS to DVD software and followed the instruction manual. When I press the capture button during a video play the picture stops on that frame and the software quits responding. In addition, the manual states to push the stop button to discontinue the capture; but there is no stop button. What am I doing wrong? When the software stops responding I can't shut it down (including from the task manager) and my computer won't shut down unless I depress the power button

The install is broken and the Clean Install is where you need to go from here to get it fixed…

While these are listed for Creator 2009, they will work just fine with V2D:

Vista

XP

The trick to Clean Install is to print it out so it is by your side and follow it step by step using the More or Less method. (Don't do More than it says and don't do Less!)

Thank you. I was able to capture a video after the Clean Install. I haven't tried to burn a DVD yet.
