I recently bought Roxio Creator 2009 and i had no problem installing but everytime i open it i always get this message "Roxio creator has encountered a problem and needs to close. we are for the inconvenience".

The Error Signature is :

EventType: clr20r3 P1: roxiocentralfx.exe P2: 4.12.0.0

P3: 48a05348 P4: roxiocentralfx P5: 0.0.0.0 P6: 48a05348

P7: 17e P8: 12 P9: system.dllnotfoundexception

I dont really know what it means so if someone can help me i would really appreciate. thankz in advance.

ok i did that and im able to open it now but when i try to make dvd's and i click on "CREATE DVDS-ADVANCE" i get this message

"a problem has been detected with your sound device. there might be no sound device installed on your computer, or the existing device may not be functioning properly. Your computer may require that speakers or headphones be connected in order for your sound device to be activated. this application requires a properly configured sound device in order to run."

what do i do?

I had one PC that fixed by plugging in earphones...

 

It is not a problem anymore after I installed the driver for the audio card.

I had the same original problem as shiiana01. I downloaded SP4 as was advised. During the update, I got the following message "Cannot delete target file: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Roxio Shared\11.0\SharedCOM\RoxMediaDB11.exe". No other Roxio programs were open at the time of this error. Can you please help? Thanks.

 

Quick update to my note. My bad! Turns out the referenced file was open. I found it in task manager, ended the process, then reran SP4. It worked and the program opens fine.
