Dan_D
Hi, I'm curious if Toast 10 allows to burn two disks at the same time. I would imagine that OS X allows it, but I'm not sure if Toast can do it. If so, could you describe how it can be done? Thanks a lot! Dan
Dan_D
The way to do this with Toast is to duplicate the Toast application, launch both of them and assign each one to a different drive. Thanks a lot! Do I have to rename the duplicate application for it to work? Is it safe to do it? Thanks again.

When you choose the Duplicate command in the Finder it gets a new name automatically. It's safe to do but because the Mac but it may be wise to choose a slower burn speed than Best and I suggest doing this with disc image files or data so that no encoding is needed. If I understand it correctly, disk image files would be recommended for copying disks but for writing regular data, photos, etc. it is not necessary. Am I correct? Thanks That is correct the large majority of the time. The exception is when a file can't be read for some reason and it's nice to find that out when trying to create a disc image rather than ending up with a disc coaster. But I don't bother making disc images when burning data because the exception is uncommon.
