Error adding photos to videowave

SABAgirl

Question

Can anyone please help me????? I am trying to make a video with the videowave and it wont let me add photos. Every time I try and add a photo, an error box pops up and says that the video is empty or contains invalid files. When I hit details, nothing else comes up. I downloaded service pack 4, and all of my photos are jpeg? The online chat people cant help either.

Thanks

Please explain in more detail how you are tying to add the photos in Videowave

either by clicking on the add video/photo in the "add content" task bar or by opening "show media selector" and using the drag and drop method to add the photo. Both times I get the same error bar. I just read that someone else had the same problem and once they updated their video driver, the problem went away....how do I do that?

Please list your system specs, especially video card.

Do you mean you get the error message as soon as you click "Add Photo/Video"? What is the exact error message?

This is a stupid question but where do I find all the specs?

As for the error message...the first time I tried to add the photo, it said that I may not have directx 9.0. So then I downloaded it and that message has not popped up again. Now I get an empty error box...just says that the files are invalid and nothing in the box when I click on details. The photo still shows up in the production editor, but it is not recognized....nothing in the add content menu lights up except the "add photo" link.

My laptop is a HP pavillion dv1000

windows xp 2002 version

intel pentium M processor 1.73 Ghz

795 Mhz

504 MB of RAM

all I could find about graphics is this: Chipset Intel 855GM, Intel extreme graphics 2; 1280x768

Please let me know where to look is this is not what you need.

Thanks

Oh yah, and I changed the dot in options to software and it didnt do anything.
