ric9pul
This does not seem to be a one time issue. Having done considerable research on the web, I have found numerous people with the same problem. Myself included. I have tried to use Roxio MyDVD to create a DVD for playing on DVD players. The material was created by me and consumes less than 3G of room on the image project. When a blank media (Memorex, or Verbatim) is put in the burner the drive header changes from DVD+RW to CD-rom and will not record. This appears to be a systemic problem with Window XP. I have sp3 BTW. I would like to get more input from the expert members on resolving this issue. Ric

Also you have not mentioned what software package you have: is that myDVD from EMC 8, 9,10 or Creator 2009? You have not stated at all what problem you are having. Please tell us quite a bit more what you are doing and what software you are using. Your post can then be moved to the appropriate forum. It would also help if you were to post your system specs.
