Question

I've just spent two days creating a picture slide show and the screen is showing only a black screen. It was working fine and then the preview screen started showing only black. I can't play back the project. The preview screen is black and the bar underneath the preview screen is also black. The pictures are visable in the story board screen. The music plays, but there is video.

The following is based on you using VideoWave, which you should be using for your slide shows.

'First, click on Tools, then Options, and click the Clear button, below and right of Proxy files.

If that doesn't work, get out of Videowave, and browse to the folder where you saved your production. Your production will have a name, followed by a .dmsm extension. You will also see another file, with that name, but instead of a .dmsm file, it will have a .dat extension. Delete that file, reboot, open VideoWave, open your production, and see if the problem cleared up.

Also, update the drivers for your video card/chip.
