Question

This is my first post and I am already totally fed up with this software.

I have been trying to use the Plug and burn feature and have been confronted with the same message and outcome.

I have a P4 2.66 MHz with 2gb ram and a 500gb HDD and a Philips duel layer DVD recorder.

I open the program and set the front screen, check the DVD it never opens in the usb mode but always in the Nvida capture setting.

I change over to the USB and the picture appears in the view box. I set the quality and then hit the capture now button. The screen goes green , the sound goes off an the capture stops followed by the message Capture device lost.

It does put something on the DVD as you have to erase when restarting the process.

I have been trying this with DVD+RW media. I don't want to produce coasters before I get this working.

I have quite a few ( PAL UK ) tapes to convert and at this rate it will never happen.

Some guidance/insight would be much appreciated.

Go here http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showforum=216 click on the 2nd Pinned post (Plug & Burn) and see if that is of any help.

Until you get the capture problem sorted out, don't use Plug&Burn (a Hit&Miss function anyway in my opinion) but capture to your hard drive. That way you don't have to keep erasing the RD DVDs.

If these are commercial tapes with copy protection then capture may fail
