dvd keeps ejecting

saranicole3

Question

I am using roxio creator basic version 9 on windows vista. I have used it to burn music cds in the past with no problem. I inserted a brand new dvd rw cd and it showed how many minutes I had available which was about 120. I chose songs to be burnt to this cd and did not go over the time limit. When I click the button to copy to the cd it keeps ejecting the cd. A window pops up and asks me to insert a blank cd, dvd r and rw versions. Everytime I hit ok it ejects the cd again and the same message pops up. Can anyone help?

Let's start by clarifying what you're really trying to do, and how. Are you using Music Disc Creator? Or are you on the Roxio "Home" application choosing to make a Music CD?

Next question did you choose to make a Music CD? MP3 CD? or Audio DVD? If you chose one of the "CD" (not DVD) options, you need to use a CD, not a DVD disc.

What type of disc are you really using, you say you put in a "dvd rw cd". Which is it, a DVD or a CD? Whichever, it needs to match the type of project you chose, so if you chose a CD project, you need to use a CD disc.

So, give us a bit of clarification so we can make some reasonable suggestions.
