Poor colour

oldcodger

Question

I have just installed the Easy VHS to DVD ok but I find that the colour of the captured video on my laptop is a bit washed out, and not as colourful as the original on the Hi8mm tape. Anyone have any suggestions (hopefully in a not too technical way!) Many thanks

You won’t know what it looks like unless your laptop screen is properly calibrated but instead of spending hundreds to do that, take your capture all the way through and burn it!

Then you can see what it looks like.

You can edit settings in Capture but it is best not to because it applied for the entire capture!

I usually adjust mine in VideoWave where I can isolate sections where I need it applied.

Get an RW disc or 2 to learn and experiment with. Do small batches and keep notes until you are comfortable with the software and your results.
