Why The Struggle?

Hirlau

Question

My first post and not a positive one, sorry to say. I purchased Creator 2009 this evening at 7:10pm from Best Buy. For the record I'm not a computer Guru, just a guy trying to create DVD's from my son's sport movies. I have purchased Roxio products in the past ( can be varified from my account registrations). It's now 1:08am and no working download. I tried to use the info. provided by Mr. Jim Hardin ( Thank you for your dedication on this forum). Still no go!

If you GOOGLE this topic you can see the frustration with this product.

I saw a response to an individual with a download problem, by a forum member, "Code Red". Mr. Code Red took offense to the forum member mentioning the price of Creator 2009. Let me try to express the member's frustration in another way, Code Red. I also paid $ 99.99 for this software with problems. That's not "chump-change" when you have a product that does not work, that cannot be returned. It leaves you with that "ripped-off" feeling, son.

I'm sure that Roxio monitors this forum, so I ask in closing, "Why The Struggle?"

When your installing it... what's the problem? Just saying "it doesn't work" doesn't help when people are trying to assist.

- Do you get a rollback error? There is a knowledge base article for that

- Do you get a message that says you have to install Easy Media Creator 10? There is a hotfix for that

- .NET Framework?

- Direct X?

- Firewall/Registry cleaner on?

Take your pick and we'll try to answer it.
