unable to access photoshow

gromsmom

Question

I have been working on my photoshow for sometime and am now unable to open the photoshow in the "manage" tab. I click on the icon and nothing happens. I control/alt/delete and get a message that photoshow is not responding. I can see the entire file and have at different time and with varying degrees of success been able to copy sections in an attempt to create a new photoshow however they also cannot be opened to edit.

I have been working on this project for the better part of a month -- it is a slideshow that I for my son's little league party. I am devastated. I have searched the threads for answers and haven't seen anything. I have noticed that some respondents appear to be frustrated with repetitve questions. I just need help. Please.

I saw one response that indicated I should go into remove/add programs and do a repair, but when I pulled that up there was no "repair" option.

That is true; there is no repair option. If the glitch happened recently use Windows Restore option to get your system back to where it worked before.

Are you using the downloaded version, if you have it on your computer, reinstall it over the old one; if no,t just download it again from your premium account.

Check your computer for malware and viruses; if you ran a registry cleaner, don't do it again. Use CCleaner to get rid of the junk files and then defrag (link to Auslogics defragger). It sounds like you may be having a hardware/memory/file problem.

Unfortunately, there will always be repetitive answers since no one knows what people have tried or not tried or read or not read. Many times people don't mention that they had a computer crash, have installed new software, deleted some files that were needed for the slide show, changed their setting on their anti-virus to check EVERYTHING being burned to the hard drive. If you tell use what went on with your computer, what happened recently, then perhaps you can get better, non-repetitive answers.
