What type of disc are you trying to use? Who is the manufacturer. Is it straight out of the box? What burner do you have? Does the Roxio product recognize that you have the burner? What burner is it? Have you considered that you might need to update the firmware for it? If you are using Plug and Burn, don't; that is a crap shoot. You are betting that nothing will go wrong in the capture and the burn. It takes only a little longer to capture to your hard drive and then burn if the capture goes OK. As I recall these Dells didn’t come with a DVD Burner, let alone a DL DVD Burner normally… Are you sure you have one that is capable of burning a DL DVD??? As a newbie, probably the best thing to do is to buy an external DVD burner if you have a USB 2 (must be USB2) port. If you have someone put in a internal burner, then that would be OK also. If you want a DL burner, you can get a little less than 2 hours of unprotected video on a DL disc. You can decise on what other options you want such as Lightscribe burning to Light Scribe discs. These are for example purposes only; not DL. This one is DL (remember you have to use DL discs) and Lightscribe. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Easy VHS to DVD is a stand-alone program. ok thank you.... now my problem.. i get as far as step 3 (under set production options, select no menu) i do that and go to step 4 ( choose your DVD drive from drive drop down menu) and thats as far as it gets.. it wont let me go to step 5 (select dvd as the disc type..)... so am i missing some step???? and when i put in the blank dvd disk my computer keeps kicking it out..im useing (memorex dvd+r 16x4.7gb 120min disk)should i try some other disk???? Researching the Nec- 5800A, it is a DVD - Rom drive, plays DVD's, not a DVD burner.. Your LTR 24102m is a CD/RW drive only, plays CD's and burns CD/RW's...
