I created an AVCHD archive disc set using Toast 10 from my Sony HDR-SR11 hard drive camera. It appeared to work fine and created 8 discs with my footage, however when I tried to use these discs in Final Cut Pro all of the video was now set as 25fps instead of the correct 29.97fps. I used the Log and Transfer feature in Final Cut and all of the clips appeared and imported using the ProRes codec, but having the clips set at the incorrect frame rate results in horrible looking video. I don't see a way to change this in FCS. They also imported at 25fps in Imovie as well. Is there a way to correct this, or is there something I can change to prevent this in the future?
I am going to have to import directly from the camera to Final Cut in the meantime to get the correct 29.97fps, but would like to get these clips off of my camera at some point and onto a backup disc without having to compress the footage at all.
